Testimony of Jean Wilson

I can count on one hand the number of times I went to church as a child, and on both hands as an adult, before I became a "Rededicated Believer." With minimal exposure and a few gospel songs my mother sang and I memorized, I always believed. But, it wasn't until the age of 41 that I became fully ready to ask God to come into my life. Although I was previously baptized, whatever I was hearing at the church I attended a couple of times before and after my baptism didn't develop any faith in me and I wasn't motivated to stay for membership. It was when I proved myself to God, years later, that he, miraculously, proved himself to me.

All along, God was calling me, and protecting me from harm. As I look back, now, I can see that. God gives, but it takes heart, mind and soul to "fully" believe and receive. I came to God not by following others and doing what I thought was right, but alone. In solitude, the realization of the call and my need for God developed, but it was the crying out of my soul that enabled my mind and my heart to be filled.
